Hi there!
If you are looking for my professional background, you will find it just below.
Outside of work, most of my energy goes toward spending time with my young son, playing chess (occasionally in official tournaments), and working on home improvement projects involving carpentry or automation. I also have a tendency to disappear down YouTube rabbit holes exploring topics like history, aviation, science, and philosophy. Add soccer, tennis, ping-pong, and skiing to the mix, and that is probably a fairly accurate picture of who I am outside the office.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Angeion Group
1/2019 – 4/2026
Philadelphia, PA
Director of Operations / Senior Technical Development Manager / Business Analyst
At Angeion Group I led a large operational transformation effort focused on technology, process optimization, and scalability. Over time, my role expanded across operations, software development, analytics, and technical leadership.
the first and most important initiative was building the company’s Software Engineering department and bringing all technical functions in house, including web development, mass emailing infrastructure (AWS), IVR/call center systems (Twilio), and help-desk operations (ZohoDesk).
The broader focus was improving efficiency, increasing operational visibility, and creating more process-oriented ways of working. This included the development of the company’s first Enterprise Management System, designed to give employees centralized access to operational data, reporting, and critical workflows.
I also led initiatives around fraud analysis, data accuracy, reporting standards, automation, and operational best practices during a period of rapid company growth and increasingly complex projects.
Among the company’s first major class action administration projects were the Apple settlement involving 127 million class members and the Google settlement involving more than 200 million class members.
Davenport University
4/2016 – 12/2018
Grand Rapids, MI
Director of Enrollment Operations
At Davenport University I led the strategic direction of the Enrollment Operations Center within the Admissions Department. The role focused heavily on data-driven decision making, automation, continuous improvement, and servant leadership.
Many of the operational improvements came through better segmentation, process redesign, transparent performance management, task automation, and the introduction of more structured operational practices.
A major focus was building a culture of self-management and accountability while improving both employee performance and the student recruitment experience.
Upway Consulting Group
1/2010 – 4/2016
East Liberty, OH & International
Founder, Trainer & Management Consultant
In 2010 I founded a global training and consulting company in Romania and continued to lead the business after relocating to the United States. The work involved managing geographically dispersed teams and delivering consulting and training projects across multiple industries.
The training portfolio included Project Management, Financial Analysis, Training of Trainers, Communications, and Business Coaching. During this period I personally delivered training sessions for more than 250 adult professionals.
On the consulting side, projects ranged from one-month operational engagements to long-term transformation initiatives lasting more than a year. Industries included banking, transportation, manufacturing, retail, and mining.
GarantiBank International N.V.,
4/2008 – 1/2010
Bucharest, Romania
Bank Manager
At GarantiBank I managed a team responsible for developing and maintaining corporate client relationships while overseeing the lending process from initial analysis through loan administration.
The role combined sales, financial analysis, risk evaluation, asset assessment, legal documentation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. It also provided extensive exposure to how businesses operate across different industries and economic environments.
Credit Europe Bank
4/2006 – 4/2008
Bucharest, Romania
Head of Corporate Loans
My first dedicated lending role in a corporate banking environment became an important foundation for my later work in management consulting and process improvement.
At the time, many lending activities in Romania were handled directly at the branch level. This meant being involved in the full lifecycle of commercial lending: client relationships, financial analysis, operational evaluations, market analysis, risk assessment, and loan structuring.
A significant part of the role involved on-site evaluations of businesses across different industries. That exposure created a lasting interest in understanding how organizations function operationally, where inefficiencies emerge, and how risks can be mitigated through better systems and processes.
